HardlineMX Preview Report - Spring Creek Viking Clash

HardlineMX is excited to head down to Spring Creek for the 2012 Viking Clash event. This is one of the 2 major events held at Spring Creek yearly, and features a large pro purse, and good AMA Pro-AM points for those working to gain their Pro License. Take a look at the video MXMatt put together in 2011 to give you a small taste of what to expect for 2012!

MXMAtt Block Pass - Kellog MX weekend June 24 2012

I had the opportunity to spend the weekend at Midway MX in Kellog Minnesota, along with some great friends and great track conditions overall. Motokazie has been running Midway MX for a few years now, and it has become one of my most favorite local tracks to ride within that timeframe. While some say it is due for a massive refresh, I am one that is fine with some tracks staying somewhat locked down with regards to the overall layout.

HardlineMX Soil Sample - Elko MX 2012  (Ridden)

Today was the re-opening of Elko Motocross track just outside the locally famous Elko Speedway. Mankato MX weekend Photo Report

Last weekend was one of the longest Motorsport weekends for myself for as long as I can remember. Not all MX related, the beginning was spent up at BIR (Brainerd International Raceway) shooting a BMW club event on their short track, Friday afternoon. For those that haven't been to something like this, just imagine a fun twisty country road with a few straights, and a green light to drive as fast as you like on them without worrying about tickets. Overall, a fun event!

Now I personally haven't had anyone tell me this(there's a first time for everything right!), but it is a common misconception that all a photographers job involves is pressing a button. Our time cant be worth anything right?

Pressing the shutter button is probably about 5% of what our job consists of.   Take a quote I read recently, I thought was pretty witty "you want to take better pictures? Stand in front of better things".  Take that advice and stand in front of dirt bikes going over jumps, bumps and turns and the pressing of the button gets exponentially harder.
